2001 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon  (ONLY .375 ml Bottles available)   We like making Cabernet. This wine comes from the Eagle's Rest Vineyard in Napa's Pope Valley.  The vineyard is located in the central part of the valley (north/east Napa County), the vines are approximately 10 years old, trellised and drip irrigated.  Following crush and about a week of cold-soak, fermentation in was completed with several cultured yeasts.  To gain complexity (which is always a good thing) this wine was aged in a combination of older French, American and Hungarian barrels.  Cedar and allspice are flavors we find in this Cabernet. Alcohol 13.5%            $28 / 750 ml bottle Approximately 100 cases were produced.  As of 1/2008, only a few cases of 375 ml bottles are available through the winery

2001 Napa Valley Merlot We typically hear "This is Merlot?!" when people first taste this wine. It's a blend of two vineyards in the Napa Valley. Blending the two combines the elegant flavors from Merlot harvested in the Oakville appellation and the big structure, deep color and flavor found in Merlot from the Calistoga area. The grapes were fermented and the base wines were aged separately. They were brought together mid-way through barreling. A big structure (this isn't your typical gateway merlot) with cedar box, subtle tobacco and berry flavors predominate.  Whoa Baby! 2003 James Creek Zinfandel This Zin comes from ~30 year old vines in the Pope Valley area of Napa County. Hot & dry. The vines produce a Zinfandel that is softer and more supple than others. '03 is the first year we used an older style Rhone crush for the wine. That means the acids needed in the wine were obtained from the seeds, stems and leaves.  Very hands-off.  Red fruit and lighter oak characterize this Zin. Alcohol ~ 15.5%          $22.50 / 750ml bottle Approximately 100 cases produced

2003 Bartolomei Brothers Vineyards Zinfandel This Zin comes from the Talmage bench area of Mendocino County. We really like Meno Zins. Big & briary with loads of fruit. In keeping with our quest of older style wines, the Bartolomei Zinfandel is produced using minimal intervention. It spends it's barrel life in mostly neutral French & American barrels. This allows the deep black and red fruit + berries + dried cherry flavors to stay out front. Alcohol ~ 14.5 %          $22.50 / 750ml bottle 100 cases produced
